My Starlink Setup

I initially started with a more complex setup that involved mounting the Starlink Dish to the top of a pole attached to the hitch of my van. Due to the limited space in my van, I’ve since decided to go with the simpler route of just climbing the ladder & setting up the dish on my roof.

Here is my current Starlink setup:

  1. I have the USB-C cable from the dish running down the side of my van & “under” the screen of one of my windows

  2. I have the Starlink Ethernet Adapter: https://shop.starlink.com/products/us-consumer-ethernet-adapter-gen2 ($25)

  3. The Ethernet adapter is plugged into the Starlink modem & it is plugged into my Pepwave router.

Total accessories: $25 + the Starlink Gen 2 dish/kit is $650 & the monthly service of $135.

Just for reference, here were the items I was using on my old setup:

I have this hitch mount: https://amzn.to/3vXRnLq ($40)
I have the hitch mount locked with this pin: https://amzn.to/3w4uar0 ($25)
I have 3 of the Flagpole Buddy 4 ft Aluminum Pole Sections https://flagpolebuddy.com/ols/products/12-ft-aluminum-pole-12-ft-lmn-pl ($115) – Multi-purpose bonus: this doubles as a Festivus pole!
I have the Flagpole Buddy Starlink Adapter: https://flagpolebuddy.com/ols/products/starlink-kit-2nd-generation-str-kit-2nd-gnr ($30)
I have this alarm attached to my Starlink Kit Gen 2 dish: https://amzn.to/3KMsLe3 ($20)

My entire internet connection setup is coming soon!
