Wienermobile

UPDATE: I appreciate everybody who notified me about the big news of the Wienermobile having its name changed to the Frankmobile! I’m definitely not a fan of the name change but my love for the vehicle will continue on!

What do you get when you take me and my love for wieners? The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile! Not to mention, my fascination for fun vehicles, roadside attractions or anything quirky! I’ve always said that it was my dream car. Also, if I ever found myself in between jobs, driving that thing around the country would be a dream job!

The first time I saw the Wienermobile in person was in 2009 and I still remember it like it was yesterday! I was driving home from work and it was parked at the hotel across from my apartment in downtown Omaha. I messaged my friend to come over right away because I had an important mission for us and the rest was history!

That first time was completely by chance but nearly every interaction since has not been. After that first time, I set up a Twitter alert so if anybody nearby mentioned the Wienermobile, I’d go on the hunt to find it! Nowadays, if I see it on my travels or if their schedule matches mine, I always stop for a photo op!
