Greetings from… Key West, Florida!
My adventure left off last month, celebrating New Years Eve in the middle of the woods an hour outside of Tampa at a gay campground.
On January 1st, I packed up and headed over to the west coast of Florida (Hudson, Florida).
This next adventure is going to sound crazy but one of my favorite photographers was doing an open shoot in Nashville so I decided to fly in few couple of days! I figured, if I was going to take this “more romance in 2024” new years resolution seriously, I needed a couple of new profile photos, lol!
From Nashville, I flew down to Tampa and then drove down to Port Charlotte, Florida to visit some family that I had never met before! That entire meet-up was really great but also wild to experiance something like that!
Afterwards, I darted back up to Tampa to go to the Tampa RV Show! This was held at the state fairgrounds and was gigantic! It’s definitely the largest RV show in the world! (Hershey, PA also claims to be the largest but there is no way).
After the RV show, I was darting down to Miami to go on a cruise for a week! However, my van has one fairly major repair that I needed to get done so I darted over to an RV repair shop a few hours north of Miami, dropped off my van, rented a car and drove down to Miami. I was going to be gone for 7 days so I was hoping this would them enough time to make the needed repairs.
The all-gay Atlantis cruise is really going to be hard for me to find the proper words to describe it. It really was incredible! It was 5,000 really attractive guys who were mostly looking to party all week long! Even though I have been to many festivals, I felt slightly intimated going in and not knowing what to expect fully. I had set an intention going in, to try my best not to fall in to the “partying” all week long trap & instead, trying to meet & have quality conversations with fellow single-gay men.
Two nights before the cruise left, I walked into the bar & really hit it off with a cute French Canadian guy. He was also going on the cruise so needless to say, I was distracted with him pretty much the entire cruise. Making a connection like this was even better than what I had hoped for! We’ve been staying touch & I plan to go visit him this summer! 🤞
The 7 day cruise returned on Sunday, 1/28. I took a train 3 hours north, picked up my van the next day & then darted back down to Miami for the night to see my “cruise boyfriend” one more night before he left.
On Tuesday, 1/30 I made the several hour drive down south to Key West, Florida!
