Greetings from… Livingston, Texas
D’oh! I’ve been slacking on these monthly updates, per usual. I hope to get caught back up over the next couple weeks.
It was an action packed August, so strap in!
OK, so my adventure at the end of July, left off in San Francisco getting a few van mods done. From there, I went up the coast to visit my friends, Josh & Kelsey who were camp-hosting in Jenner, California. It had been a few years since I’ve seen them so it was really great to catch up!
After that, I went over to Guerneville, California to a gay camping event called Lazy Bear. I first went to this event back in the summer of 2019 & had a blast bit this was the first time I was able to make it back. I was able to stealth camp right on the main strip that had all of the pool parties!
When Lazy Bear concluded, I drove down to Sacramento & hopped on a plane to Chicago for another gay event, Market Days! Market Days is similar to a gay pride, but with more debauchery! I was able to see and stay with my friend Paige for the weekend! it was really fun sightseeing with her & hitting up a bunch of rooftop bars the entire weekend! Some of my family in Illinois also made the drive in & I was able to see them for dinner!
I flew back to Sacramento and darted over to South Lake, Tahoe. This place has becaome an annual tradition of a stop before and after Burning Man. I really enjoyed this little town! From there, I drove up to Reno and stayed at another annual tradition of mine, the Grand Sierra Resort Casino.
The last week of August, it was time for Burning Man! This year was my 4th time making the trek to Black Rock City! I camped at the Burner Express Airport again & had a wonderful time! Over the years, I have met some many cool people there and many of my friends have started going to Burning Man now… It was fun bouncing around to all of the different camps to see everybody! It started raining on Friday, September 1st so stay tuned for my September update to hear more about that! :-)
